Lincoln Prevention Coalition
The Lincoln Prevention Coalition aims at reducing the incidence rate of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, by youth, through continued education. The L.P.C. was awarded the “Drug Free Communities” Grant in 2017. Housed in the Office of National Drug Control Policy, “D.F.C.” provides the funding necessary for communities to identify and respond to local drug and alcohol use problems. The DFC program recognizes that in order to be sustainable over time it must have effective community collaboration. The L.P.C. is also a member of the Blackstone Valley Prevention Coalition. The BVPC is a regional coalition of community members that come together with a mission to develop, implement and advocate for effective community-based prevention initiatives.
